Tania Niwa is an aerial drone photographer and aerial videography specialist based in New Plymouth, Taranaki.
Tania draws on her design skills to artistically capture wide landscapes and views for both commercial purposes and for private commissions.

This environmental image was part of a project commission for Why Ora who is a not-for-profit community organisation based in Taranaki to empower Māori career and employment aspirations. The image also adorns the wall of Why Ora office and also made a series of appearances as a large scale artwork in a tv drama series ‘Tangata Pai’ filmed in New Plymouth. With support of Why Ora it was shown in the hospital waiting room setting.

AERIAL videography filming from $395 + GST
Fees for aerial videography starts at $395.00. Fee reduces to start from $300 if also commissioning stills imagery.
AERIAL IMAGERY Session fee $595 + GST
The fee covers your first two high dynamic range ‘HDR’ captures. Each scene captured is made up of at least 5 exposures. For panoramas (like the Waitara river mouth image above) this can comprise of up to 25 exposures to create one image and therefore a high dynamic range to show lots of important details not possible in a single exposure.
Each image is custom produced to a premium standard.
SCENIC IMAGERY
Imagery that is captured at sunset, sunrise which requires a high level of premium production to create impactful captures.
1 – 5 additional images ordered from your shoot @ $250 + GST each
6 – 9 additional images ordered from your shoot @ $195 + GST each
10 – 15 additional images ordered from your shoot @ $150 + GST each
16 or more additional images ordered from your shoot @ $130 + GST each
DOCUMENTARY IMAGERY
For example: aerial imagery documenting locations and structures on your land/commercial sites
1 – 9 additional images ordered from your shoot @ $175 + GST each
10 – 19 additional images ordered from your shoot @ $150 + GST each
20 or more additional images ordered from your shoot @ $125 + GST each
Imagery that is more of a documentary, record type of image and does not require such high levels of post production
TRAVEL FEES FOR AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY AND AERIAL FILMING VIDEOGRAPHY
There is no additional cost for locations within 20km of New Plymouth (e.g. Waitara, Oakura, Lepperton, Inglewood).
An additional fee is charged to cover travel for locations 25km or more from the studio:
25km – 50km from studio add $125 + GST (eg Rahotu, Stratford, Eltham), 60km – 75km add $150 (eg Opunake, Hawera, Manaia), 80km – 100km add $250 (eg Patea), 110km – 140km add $300 (eg Waverley, Waitotara).
